Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that several northern states are likely to witness a decline in temperature in the upcoming days. The weather department also stated that while the hilly states are set to experience snowfall, some of the states are also likely to witness light to heavy rainfall. It stated that several states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana, are likely to witness rainfall till November 6. The IMD has advised the residents of these states to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several states have been experiencing rain for the past few days due to Cyclone Montha in the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for moderate to heavy rainfall for the next two days in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and Odisha.

The weather department also stated that the weather conditions in the hilly states such as Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir are likely to change significantly after November 5. The IMD has predicted heavy rain and snowfall in several regions of Uttarakhand, including Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag, and Pithoragarh.

Apart from this, several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Kanpur, Etawah, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Ballia, Bahraich, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur, are set to receive light to moderate rainfall at least till November 5. The weather department also stated that several regions of the poll-bound Bihar are also expected to witness rainfall. It further advised the farmers to protect their crops and follow the guidelines to minimise the inconveniences.

The IMD stated that several southern and western states, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka, are also likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days.
