Delhiites found respite from the scorching heat after rain drenched the national capital, subsiding the severe heatwave. However, the humidity has become a cause of discomfort for the people. According to the Meteorological Department, the city will continue to experience cloudy weather over the next 24 to 48 hours, with light to moderate rain expected in several areas accompanied by strong winds. The IMD has issued a yellow alert, predicting heavy rainfall in the national capital until July 1.

According to today's weather forecast, the sky will remain cloudy, with light rain or thundershowers expected, along with strong winds blowing at a speed of 25-35 kilometers per hour. This situation is expected to continue for the next few days.

Besides Delhi, the Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rainfall in Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The IMD has issued an orange alert for these states.

The national capital Delhi has been experiencing intermittent cloud cover for the past few days, resulting in light drizzles in several areas. The Meteorological Department has provided an update regarding the monsoon, indicating that daily rainfall is expected in Delhi after its arrival. This could provide relief from the heat and humidity.

In line with this, the department has forecasted light rain every day until July 1. A yellow alert has been issued for the entire week. During this period, both day and night temperatures are expected to decrease significantly, potentially reaching 35°C during the day and 22°C at night.
