Weather Updates: Several regions of Delhi on Friday received rainfall along with gusty winds, providing relief to the residents from scorching heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that multiple areas, including Narela, Pitampura, and Mayur Vihar, received heavy rain in the late hours of Friday. The weather department also stated that the national capital will continue to experience similar weather in the upcoming few days. The IMD stated that apart from Delhi, other states such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab will also receive rainfall in the whole upcoming week.

Delhi: Rain To Provide Relief From Heat

The weather department stated that Delhi will experience cloudy skies on Saturday, adding that several areas of the national capital are also likely to receive light rain. The IMD further stated that along with rain, the residents of the national capital are also likely to experience gusty winds and thunderstorms. It stated that the latest change in weather has decreased the temperature from 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, providing a relief to the residents.

More than 40 districts of Uttar Pradesh received light to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms on Friday, leading to power outages in several regions. The weather department clarified that these districts will continue to receive heavy rainfall due to an active western disturbance. Apart from this, the IMD also issued an alert for rain and thunderbolts for multiple districts of western Uttar Pradesh.

Rain Expected In Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh 

Apart from this, the weather department also stated that multiple districts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are also likely to receive rainfall in the upcoming few days. While providing details, the IMD stated that the active western disturbance led to the recent weather change, adding that the rain has provided relief to the residents of hilly regions.

It further informed that while the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu will continue to receive rainfall, the temperature is likely to further increase in Rajasthan.
