Delhi Red Fort Blast: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday transferred the investigation into the Delhi car blast incident to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The blast, which occurred near Delhi’s historic Red Fort around 7 PM on Monday, is believed to be a possible terrorist attack executed by a Jaish-e-Mohammad module unearthed by Indian agencies.
The NIA formed a 10-member Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by Additional Director General (ADG) Vijay Sakhare, to take charge of the probe into the recent Delhi blast. The 10-member team includes an IG, two DIGs, three SPs, and DSP-level officers.
