Jharkhand IPS Transfer: 30 Officers Reshuffled, Rakesh Ranjan Is New Ranchi SSP; See Full List

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Jharkhand state government has transferred 30 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, leading to several key changes in the state's police leadership.

High-Level Changes

Anurag Gupta, the Director General of Police (DGP) for Jharkhand, has been relieved of his additional responsibilities as the Director General (DG) of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Prashant Singh, the DG of Communication and Technical Services, will now also hold the additional charge of DG Headquarters. Priya Dubey, formerly the Additional Director General (ADG) of JAP with additional duties in Training and Modernisation, has been appointed as the new ADG of the ACB. She will retain her additional charges of ADG JAP and ADG Training and Modernisation.

In a key appointment for the state capital, Rakesh Ranjan, the former Superintendent of Police (SP) for Chaibasa, has been named the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ranchi. The outgoing Ranchi SSP, Chandan Kumar Singh, has been promoted and transferred to the position of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the ACB.

Inspector General (IG) Level:

- Suman Gupta, who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed ADG of Railways.

- Manoj Kaushik, IG of Ranchi, has been given the additional charge of IG CID.

- Kranti Kumar Gadidesi moves from IG Bokaro to IG of Human Rights.

- Narendra Kumar Singh is transferred from IG Human Rights to IG Vigilance-cum-Security at the Jharkhand Electricity Board.

- Shailendra Kumar Sinha moves from IG Dumka to IG Palamu.

- Sudarshan Prasad Mandal is transferred from IG CID to IG Headquarters, with the additional charge of IG Jails.

- Sunil Bhaskar will move from IG Palamu to IG Bokaro.

- Patel Mayur Kanhaiyalal, IG of Provisioning, receives the additional charge of IG Dumka.

- Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and Superintendent of Police (SP) Level:

- Sanjeev Kumar is transferred from DIG ACB to DIG Special Branch (SIB).

- Shailendra Prasad Barnwal moves from DIG Special Branch to DIG ACB.

- Chothe Manoj Ratan is transferred from DIG Special Branch (SIB) to DIG Special Branch.

- Naushad Alam, formerly DIG Palamu, has been transferred to Police Headquarters.

- Ajit Peter Dungdung moves from SP of Deoghar to Joint Director at the Jharkhand Police Academy in Hazaribagh.
