The Ranchi Municipal Corporation has issued a one-week warning for residents to pay their holding tax. The corporation has warned that the civic amenities (door-to-door waste collection, water supply, etc) provided by the Corporation will be discontinued permanently or temporarily under the Jharkhand Municipal (Amendment) Act for major tax defaulters if they fail to pay their outstanding dues within the period.

On Monday, the Municipal Corporation released a list of 100 holding owners who have not paid their holding tax despite being served a notice. The concerned holding owners have not paid their outstanding holding tax from the financial year 2016-17 to the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025-26.
