Healthy Drinks For Diabetes: When the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or the body cannot effectively use the insulin produced by the body, this condition is referred to as diabetes. According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) reports 10.5% of the adult population (20-79 years) has diabetes, with almost half unaware that they are living with the condition. By 2045, IDF projections show that 1 in 8 adults, approximately 783 million, will be living with diabetes, an increase of 46%.
With such alarming statistics, it is extremely important to manage diabetes with the right lifestyle, food choices and habits. Diabetes management includes managing your blood glucose levels, blood pressure and cholesterol and one of the effective ways to manage these is by consuming the right foods and drinks. 1. Chocolate Milk
Chocolate milk can be a smart swap to satiate your sweet cravings. According to WebMD low-fat chocolate milk can be a good post-workout recovery drink. Instead of consuming ready-made chocolate milk, try to prepare it at home by using cocoa powder, zero-calorie sweetener, and reduced-fat milk as ingredients to prepare the drink.

2. Orange Juice
Consuming orange juice is another healthy alternative as oranges are an excellent source of healthy vitamins, minerals, and fibre that help in managing blood sugar levels. The fibre present in oranges can promote the feelings of fullness and prevent you from eating junk food.

A study published in the Journal of Research in Medical Sciences found that drinking 4 cups per day was linked to weight loss and lower blood pressure.
