Ways To Check Dehydration: We often overlook the importance of proper hydration, neglecting the fact that our bodies should be properly hydrated for optimal body functioning. Dehydration occurs when our bodies lose more fluids than they take in, causing an imbalance in electrolytes and fluids. This can lead to concerns such as fatigue, headaches and difficulty concentrating. Severe dehydration can even cause dizziness and other health issues.

Tests To Check Dehydration

Skin Pinch Test

Pinch the skin on the back of your hand. If it takes time to return to its normal position, it may indicate dehydration.

Tongue Check

Examine your tongue in the mirror. A dry tongue or one with a white coating can be a sign that you're not drinking enough water.

Sweat and Urine Colour Test

If you're sweating less than usual and your urine is dark yellow, especially during summer, it could be a sign of dehydration.

Ryan Fernando added, “If you see these signs then drink a glass of water and drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily.”
