Did you know that the presence of chemicals like phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA) in plastic water bottles can raise your risk of high blood pressure? These substances, frequently used in the production of plastic bottles, can contaminate water, particularly when exposed to heat or sunlight. Endocrine disruptors such as BPA and phthalates have the ability to alter the hormonal balance of the body.
According to studies, these substances can raise blood pressure by interfering with the body's ability to regulate cardiovascular activities. Plastic bottles also contribute to environmental contamination, which has an unintended negative effect on public health. Choosing alternatives like stainless steel or glass bottles not only lowers the chance of chemical exposure but also promotes a healthier environment.
A recent study from Danube Private University in Austria's Department of Medicine, published in the journal Microplastics, revealed that every researcher who sampled a portion of fluids from several people that weren't in plastic bottles discovered their blood pressure was uniformly lowering.
According to the report by Post, "Remarkable trends were observed. The results of the study suggest, for the first time, that a reduction in plastic use could potentially lower blood pressure, probably due to the reduced volume of plastic particles in the bloodstream."
They further added, "Based on the findings, indicating a reduction in blood pressure with decreased plastic consumption, we hypothesize that plastic particles present in the bloodstream might contribute to elevated blood pressure." They recommend avoiding all beverages packaged in plastic bottles. Additionally, a few years ago, a group of experts found that each person ingests a total of five grams of microplastic every day when they drink liquid from a plastic container.

The only method to prevent these microplastics from getting into your body is to boil or otherwise filter the tap water you consume. This virtually eliminates the occurrence of microplastics by nature.
