Due to low blood pressure, the flow of blood and oxygen to the digestive organs also gets impacted, which can cause symptoms like dizziness, fatigue and nausea. After a long night of rest and fasting, these symptoms may be more pronounced in the morning causing low appetite. Besides that, low blood sugar and dehydration from the night before can also aggravate symptoms of low blood pressure and thus impact the appetite in the mornings.

Dr Dimple Jangda - Ayurveda coach and Gut health expert said that if in the mornings you are experiencing symptoms like dizziness, weakness, fatigue, nausea, blurred vision, weakness, confusion, rapid and shallow breathing, it could be a sign of low blood pressure. When you stand up quickly, you may notice symptoms like dizziness and temporary vision darkness, this is due to low blood pressure. It can even cause fainting, confusion, difficulty focusing or brain fog symptoms. It can also cause your body to become cold, and skin to become clammy.

Tips To Regulate BP

1. Check Your BP Regularly

Use a home BP machine to check if your blood pressure is low. Ensure to check in the mornings when you wake up, before consuming food. Keep a note of symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, nausea, or faintness. If you are experiencing any of these, speak with your doctor and start a diet to improve your blood pressure. Also, it’s important to rule out other underlying issues like PCOS, PCOD, hormonal health issues, gastrointestinal intestinal issues or metabolic disorders.

Eat small meals at regular intervals, and ensure to carry some snacks when travelling to and fro work and other errands. You can also wear compression socks, which help send blood back from the calf muscle to your heart.

4. Balanced Diet

Remember your calf muscles are your second set of heart. Have a balanced diet rich in nutrition, and avoid filling up your system with dead foods like packaged and processed foods. Regulate your intake of coffee., and speak to your family doctor for any basic medication to bring your blood pressure to normal.

Dr Jangda said that if despite dietary and lifestyle changes, you notice your blood pressure hasn’t improved, then it’s best to speak to your family doctor. If symptoms like fatigue, weakness, giddiness, nausea, loss of appetite, or weight loss, remain persistent, then share your medical history with your doctor and arrive at a doable solution. Also if your body is experiencing other conditions like hormonal disorders or heart disease, then it requires immediate medical attention.
