New Delhi l Jagran Health Desk: During Monsoon, a lot of diseases take birth due to the accumulation of water. It includes mosquito-borne disease such as Malaria, Zika virus, Chikungunya, and Dengue. Victims are more prone to dengue fever during this season. It has already claimed the lives of four people including two children and a woman in Karnataka.
Cases of dengue virus victims are on a rise in 's Dakshin Kannada district since the start of July, as per reports. Around 400 patients are suffering from dengue fever with more than half of them from Mangaluru.
Dengue is caused due to biting of female Aedes aegypti also known as the yellow fever mosquito. At first, the patient suffers from high fever, other symptoms include headache, vomiting, pain in the eye, etc.
In adverse situations, stomach pain, nose bleeding, bladder bleeding, and breathing problems could be noticed. Dengue disease can even kill a person due to a loss in the number of blood platelets.
Papaya leaves juice can be beneficial in treating Dengue, said lifestyle coach Luke Coutinho. They are also considered the best remedy to fight against dengue virus, he added in a facebook live session. It is also rich in Vitamin C and anti-oxidants to improve the proper functioning of the immune system.
Dengue reduces the number of platelets in our blood, thus infected person requires quick treatment. Platelets are very important for keeping the body function properly. These are small blood cells which help in forming clots. If platelets are getting reduced among dengue patients, papaya leaves can help in improving the number of blood platelets.
Here is how to make Papaya Juice:
Step 1: Take out some leaves off a Papaya tree
Step 2: Break these leaves into pieces and put it into a mortar
Step 3: Grind it to make a juice out of it.
Step 4: Add honey or other fruit juice to kill its sour taste
Note: Drink two teaspoons papaya thrice juice daily for best results.
