THE HIGH temperatures and humidity in summer can have a great impact on our skin and hair. The heat during the summer months tends to dry the scalp of the oil and moisture and make it more dry and flaky. We try various products as well as home remedies to treat hair care problems such as dryness, flakiness, dandruff, and many more. But some of them work and some do not. Hair and scalp need moisture and nourishment internally. With the right diet and consuming healthy foods, one can achieve healthy and bouncy hair regardless of the season. Therefore, we have brought you a list of summer fruits that you should consume to get rid of all haircare problems.

Summer Fruits For Healthy Hair

1. Berries

Berries such as blueberries or strawberries are a great source of essential nutrients needed for hair growth. There are no other fruits that can match the nutritional profile of berries that encourage hair growth. The antioxidants and vitamins in berries are known to build shiny and stronger hair.

2. Mango

Vitamins A and C, which are necessary for the synthesis of collagen and defense against the effects of the environment, are both found in mangoes. Vitamin A is necessary for growth and may provide some protection against ageing, but vitamin C is necessary for the growth of hair and the healing of wounds. The skin and scalp are moisturised by sebum, an oily material.

3. Avocado

Avocadoes add moisture to the scalp and leave the hair silky and soft. They are enriched with fatty acids and essential vitamins C, D, E, and B6 which help in promoting a healthy and dandruff-free scalp.

4. Watermelon

Watermelon is enriched with great amounts of vitamin C, which ensures that enough amounts of iron are in your red blood cells to assist in carrying oxygen to your hair follicles, promoting healthy hair. Collagen is also needed for healthy hair growth and watermelon helps promote collagen formation.
