International Cat Day 2023: Just as there are dog lovers, there are millions of people across the globe who adore cats. International Cat Day is a global celebration of cats as pet friends. The International Cat Day is observed every year on August 8 to create awareness about the caring and protection of these little beings.

Cats are referred to as the most adorable species on the Earth along with dogs. This special occasion serves as a reminder of the unbreakable bond between humans and animals, especially cats. The playful antics of cats have earned great appreciation and a special place in history. We all must have seen those funny and aww-adorable videos of cats on the internet.

The International Cat Day was established in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) to create awareness about the plight of cats around the globe and how they make this world a better place.
