Mohini Ekadashi 2023: One of the most auspicious occasions of the Hindu calendar is Mohini Ekadashi. The sacred occasion of Mohini Ekadashi falls in the Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. This Ekadashi holds immense significance in the Hindu religion. On this special occasion, devotees across the country offer their prayers to Lord Vishnu to seek his blessings.
Mohini Ekadashi 2023: Date And Shubh Muhurat
The Mohini Ekadashi will fall on May 01. According to Drik Panchang, the Navami tithi will begin at 12:58 AM on May 01 and will end at 02:39 AM on Mar 02, 2023.

Parana means breaking the fast. Ekadashi Parana is done after sunrise on the next day of the Ekadashi fast. It is necessary to do Parana within Dwadashi Tithi unless Dwadashi is over before sunrise. Not doing Parana within Dwadashi is similar to an offence.
Parana should not be done during Hari Vasara. One should wait for Hari Vasara to get over before breaking the fast. Hari Vasara is the first one-fourth duration of Dwadashi Tithi. The most preferred time to break the fast is Pratahkal, according to Drik Panchang.
Mohini Ekadashi 2023: Significance
Mohini Ekadashi has great significance in the Hindu community. On this special occasion, devotees observe a whole-day fast to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu. According to ancient scriptures, it is believed that on Mohini Ekadashi Lord Vishnu appeared in the form of a nymph (Apsara) to get Amrit Kalash from demons. Popular beliefs suggest that the Mohini avatar of Lord Vishnu was charismatic and alluring and that demons lost their senses.
Mohini Ekadashi 2023: Puja Vidhi
On the auspicious occasion of Mohini Ekadashi, the Mohini form of Lord Vishnu is worshipped. On this day, get up early in the morning, take a bath, resolve the fast by offering water to the sun and then, establish the idol of Lord Vishnu at the place of worship. Bathe the idol with Panchamrit.
After this, offer an incense lamp, fruits and flowers, naivedya and tulsi dal. Chant the mantras of Lord Vishnu. Then, read the Ekadashi fasting story and do the aarti. Break the fast on Dwadasi Tithi and offer food to the needy person by giving donations and Dakshina and end the fast.
