EVERY YEAR, March 30 is observed and celebrated as National Doctor’s Day across the nation. This day marks the contributions, efforts and achievements of doctors in saving society and people from various illnesses and diseases. Doctors are known as Gods because of their selfless deeds. Doctors are the ones who work 24/7 without hesitating to treat their patients.
Doctor’s Day offers a chance for all of us to appreciate and thank every doctor we know for their selfless acts in saving precious lives. Small gestures such as sending Thankyou cards, letters or flowers can be a great way to appreciate real heroes of the societies.

March 30 was selected as the date to commemorate Dr Crawford W Long’s first administration of anaesthesia in Jefferson, Georgia in 1842.
