Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas: Today, January 9, people from all across India are celebrating this special day. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas or NRI (Non-Resident India) is an important occasion since it honors the global contributions made by the Indian diaspora. This unique day was established in 2003 to mark the return of Mahatma Gandhi to India in 1915 and to pay tribute to Indian non-residents who have achieved great success in the world.
