THE AUSPICIOUS day of Rangbhari Ekadashi is observed and celebrated across the country with great fanfare and joy. It is an important Hindu festival celebrated on the 11th day during the waxing phase of the moon in Phalguna month. This auspicious day marks the beginning of celebrations of the Holi festival across different parts of the country. This year, Rangbhari Ekadashi will be celebrated in the month of March. The day is of great importance at Kashi Vishwanath Temple and numerous other Vishnu Temples in North India. Read below the important details about this auspicious day.
Rangbhari Ekadashi 2023: Date And Shubh Muhurat
According to Hindu Panchang, Rangbhari Ekadashi, this year will be celebrated on March 03. The auspicious timing for Rangbhari Ekadashi began at 06:39 AM on Thursday and will end at 09:11 AM on Friday, March 03. Due to this, the fast of Rangbhari Ekadashi will be observed on March 03.
Rangbhari Ekadashi 2023: Significance
On this auspicious day, devotees observe a strict fast to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Devotees offer Gulal (coloured powder), sweets and Bhang to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The festival begins in the evening and two small silver murtis of Shiva and Parvati are installed for the rituals. According to popular beliefs, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married on Maha Shivratri and their Gauna (a ritual associated with the consummation of marriage)was performed on Rangbhari Ekadashi. Devotees are allowed to perform puja on the murtis in the form of offering gulal, sweets, flowers and bel patra. During the same period, Lathmar Holi is observed in Mathura.

Amalaki Ekadashi is an auspicious occasion in the Hindu calendar as it is believed to bring good luck, prosperity and happiness. According to Hindu scriptures, observing Rangbhari or Amalaki Ekadashi fast washes away all the sins of the devotees. Offering Amla to Lord Vishnu and performing donations is considered highly auspicious on this special occasion.
