The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted an enchanting India Week at the Al-Suwaidi Park as a part of their Global Harmony Initiative from November 2 to November 10. The spirit of cultural exchange glowed brightly as the event was a vivid, immersive journey into the heart of Indian heritage, highlighting a deep connection between the two nations through art, music, and commerce.

The main stage at Suwaidi Park became the pulsating epicentre of the celebration. Towering LED screens bathed the venue in electric lights, setting a dramatic backdrop for the performers. Indian rapper MC Stan and singer Kanika Kapoor also added charm to the event with their banging performances. The stage felt alive with various musical performances, demonstrating the powerful unity of diverse artistic traditions. All the latest and trending Hindi songs forced the masses to groove and shake their body at every beat.

Not just the Indians living in the Kingdom, but the Saudis were also treated to a diverse range of regional music and dance. The highlight of the event, the Parade, beautifully showcased the diverse culture of India. One moment, the audience was enveloped in the thunderous, rhythmic beats of traditional Kerala percussion, performed by men in crisp, cream-and-gold mundus. The next, they were high on energy with Punjabi beats, bhangra, as well as the garba performances.

Moving away from the parade, the pathways under the canopy of date palms and twinkling string lights transformed into an open-air spectacle. Many artists and performers, dressed in elaborate outfits featuring brilliant reds, greens, and pinks, engaged directly with the crowd. Various kiosks entailing Rajasthani lac bangles, Madhubani artwork, henna application and intricate Kashmiri handicrafts also found their place at the prestigious event, giving a rich glimpse into India's ethnicities.
