I’ve been getting lip fillers since the age of 18, I didn’t have that much money back then but I always felt my lips were too thin and I wanted bigger fuller lips. I went to dermat deni we’re ready to do it for less and these were the results at times! I had to get them dissolved and mind it it’s the most painful thing ever!”.

She added, “I’m not telling people to not get them but in fact what I’m trying to say is just be careful while getting fillers or Botox. I still very much have lip fillers just that I know what suits my face and I know now less is more. Encouraging everyone to thoroughly research before going to any doctor. I revoked fillers to everyone, if you have some insecurities about your face or body instead of hating yourself or your face it’s just better to opt for fillers or surgeries but from a very good doctor only.”
What Are Lip Fillers?
The Cleveland Clinic states that lip fillers are one of the most popular types of dermal filler. They increase the volume of your lips. Lips fillers are injections that add volume to your lips. They do not stop the ageing process, but they might help delay the need for a more invasive surgical lip augmentation, like lip implants or a lip lift. They can also help you achieve a desired look, which boosts your self-esteem.
How Long Do Lip Fillers Last?
Lip fillers typically last 12 to 18 months. However, it depends on your age and how fast your body breaks down calories into energy (metabolism), states Cleveland Clinic. Younger people tend to burn calories faster, so lip fillers don’t last as long.
What Happens After You Get Lip Fillers?
After you get lip fillers, an anaesthetic cream might be used first to numb your skin. Injections are given around the area of your face being treated, which is then massaged. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the treatment usually takes between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
Risks Of Lip Fillers
The common risks of dermal fillers according to NIH include infections, a lumpy appearance under the skin, which might need to be treated with surgery or medicine, the filler moving away from the intended treatment area, which may need to be removed using surgery, scarring, bruising and bleeding, redness and tenderness at the site of the injection, reactivation of cold sores or fever blisters (herpes simplex) of the lips or area surrounding the lips, lip asymmetry and ulceration, scarring, or stiffening of the lip.
