JE Lifestyle Desk: Vinayaka Chaturthi is one of the most auspicious occasions in the Hindu calendar observed with great devotion and enthusiasm. It is an important religious occasion during which the devotees worship Lord Ganesha to seek his blessing for a happy and prosperous life. 

Vinayaka Chaturthi 2023: Date And Shubh Muhurat

This will be the last Vinayaka Chaturthi fast of the Ashadha month. The auspicious occasion will be observed on June 22 across the country. The Chaturthi tithi will begin at 03:09 PM on June 21 and will end at 05:27 PM on June 22, 2023. 

Vinayaka Chaturthi 2023: Significance

On this occasion, devotees observe a whole-day-long fast to seek the blessings of the deity for a healthy and happiness-filled life. It is believed that worshipping Lord Ganesha brings fortune and prosperity to life. According to Drik Panchang, Lord Ganesha is worshipped with all sixteen rituals along with chanting of Puranik Mantras during Ganesha Chaturthi Puja which is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi Puja. 

Vinayaka Chaturthi 2023: Puja Rituals

On the auspicious day of Vinayaka Chaturthi, first, wake up early in the morning, clean your house, take a holy bath and wear clean clothes. If you have Lord Ganesha installed at your home and is worshipped daily then Avahana and Pratishthapana should be skipped as these two rituals are done for newly bought statues of Lord Ganesha either made of clay or made of metal. It should be noted that pre-installed statues of Lord Ganesha at home are not given visarjan but given Utthapan at the end of Puja.
