2024 Tata Altroz Facelift: Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Altroz Racer in the coming days, introducing several new features that will also be incorporated into the standard Altroz. Although the official website has not yet been updated, a new brochure has surfaced online, revealing key details about the 2024 Altroz facelift. New Infotainment System and Driver Display

One of the most significant updates is the introduction of a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the current 7-inch unit in higher-spec variants. This larger screen, similar to the one in the Tata Punch EV, will also feature Tata's new operating system. Additionally, the infotainment unit will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, enhancing connectivity and user experience. Tata has upgraded both the infotainment screen and the driver's display in the Altroz's cabin. Higher-spec variants will now boast a 7-inch full-digital driver's display.

Safety Features

Previously, the standard Altroz was equipped with dual front airbags, even in the top-spec variant. With the introduction of the Altroz Racer, Tata will extend the safety feature to include six airbags in the regular variants as well. This significant enhancement highlights Tata's commitment to improving safety for all occupants.

Advanced Camera Technology

Another notable addition in the Altroz facelift will be the 360-degree camera system. This feature includes a blind view monitor, which displays a feed on the touchscreen whenever the driver activates the turn indicator. This technology, borrowed from Tata's newer models, enhances safety and convenience, particularly during parking and lane changes.

New Turbo-Petrol Engine

Tata Altroz has traditionally been offered with three engine options - a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol. The turbo-petrol engine will now be replaced by the more powerful 1.2-litre unit from the Tata Nexon, specifically for the Altroz Racer. This engine change is expected to provide a significant performance boost. However, it is anticipated that the Altroz facelift will not include the new turbo-petrol engine option, reserving this powerful engine exclusively for the Racer variant.
