2026 Kia Seltos Safety Rating:  The 2026 Kia Seltos was launched in India on January 2, 2026, and it recently secured a 5-star rating in crash tests organised by Bharat NCAP (BNCAP). The new generation Kia Seltos is priced between Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. 2026 Kia Seltos: Safety Ratings

As informed earlier, the Kia Seltos has secured a 5-star safety rating from BNCAP recently. But it is important to understand the safety ratings of a car. The new generation Kia Seltos has secured a total of 31.70 points out of a maximum of 32 points in terms of Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). Additionally, the Seltos has also secured a total of 45 points out of a maximum of 49 points in terms of Child Occupant Protection (COP). Notably, the ratings apply to all variants of the 2026 Kia Seltos.

2026 Kia Seltos: Safety Features

The 2026 Kia Seltos comes packed with several advanced safety features. The new generation Seltos features six airbags, rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, ABS, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard. The top-of-the-line variants of the 2026 Kia Seltos also feature a Level 2 ADAS suite.

2026 Kia Seltos Powertrain

The 2026 Kia Seltos comes with a choice of three powertrain options, including a 1.5-litre Naturally Aspirated (NA) petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. While the NA petrol generates a peak power of 113 bhp, the turbo petrol generates 158 bhp, and the diesel engine can churn out 113 bhp. The new Kia Seltos 2026 also offers gearbox choices of either a manual, an iMT, a CVT, or a torque converter transmission.
