2027 Mercedes S-Class Facelift:  The 2027 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift has been revealed by the brand in the country. The brand claims that more than 50 per cent of the car has been newly developed, updated, or refined. The brand’s flagship luxury sedan has received massive changes on the exterior, interior, and powertrains. Let’s take a look at all the changes that the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has undergone.

2027 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift: Design

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz S-Class gets a stronger visual identity with a 20 per cent larger grill, which is now illuminated. The grille also gets star-shaped 3D chrome elements, and the brand’s iconic star on the bonnet also comes with the illumination function. The lighting has also been updated, and it gets twin-star motifs. The lighting features the brand’s latest generation of Digital Lights, which uses micro-LED technology. The taillight is also redesigned, and it incorporates star-shaped elements. It also gets a light projection feature, which displays ‘Mercedes-Benz’ lettering on the ground when someone enters or exits the car.

2027 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift: Features

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz S-Class comes with a heavily digitalised cabin, and it gets a triple-screen layout that incorporates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch infotainment screen, and a 12.3-inch screen for the front passenger. All of these screens run on the latest MB OS, which enables faster operation. The S-Class facelift also gets a new steering wheel with physical controls. The rear-seat comfort has also been taken a step further by offering detachable dual 13.1-inch entertainment screens, video conferencing support, enhanced ambient lighting, and comfort features. The S-Class facelift also features an AI-powered MBUX system, and it also features ChatGPT-based conversational functions.

2027 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift: Engine

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift will be offered with multiple powertrain options, including hybrid engines. The S450 or S500 trims of the luxury sedan get a 3-litre inline-six petrol engine with mild hybrid technology. The S580 4Matic comes equipped with a twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine, which can produce more than 530 hp. The luxury sedan will also be offered with a diesel engine (S350D & S450D) in select markets, and the brand will also offer the plug-in-hybrid trims, namely the S450 E and the S580 E.
