Aprilia Tuareg 660 Launch Date: Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia made waves last year with the launch of the RS 457 in the Indian market. Now, there are speculations about the brand introducing the Tuareg 660 adventure tourer in the Indian market. The motorcycle has been listed on Aprilia's India website, although the exact launch date is yet to be confirmed.

Aprilia Tuareg 660 - Design 

Aprilia Tuareg 660 is available in three striking colour options - Atreides Black, Canyon Sand, and Dakar Podium. Talking about its design, the Tuareg 660 is designed for adventure as it features a tall windscreen, sturdy spoked rims, a flat seat with ample cushioning, a sizable fuel tank and an upswept exhaust. It gets a ground clearance of 240 mm and a seat height of 860 mm. 

Aprilia Tuareg 660 - Features 

In terms of features, the Tuareg 660 offers four riding modes, including two customisable modes with one specifically tailored for off-road adventures. Riders can opt to deactivate ABS at both wheels or only at the rear. The motorcycle also boasts the APRC system - Aprilia Performance Ride Control which incorporates features like Traction Control, Cruise Control, Engine Map adjustments and Engine Brake settings. These functions are easily accessible via a user-friendly 5-inch TFT screen. 

Aprilia Tuareg 660 - Engine Specs 

Talking about the engine specs, the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is powered by a 659 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. This same unit also powers other Aprilia models such as the RS660 and Tuono 660. This engine is capable of delivering a power output of 79 bhp and 70 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox along with an optional quickshifter for smoother gear shifts. However, it's worth noting that the engine has been slightly detuned for the adventure tourer variant, compared to its counterparts like the Tuono 660 and RS660 which boast 100 bhp and 67 Nm from the same engine. This adjustment aims to enhance power delivery in the lower and mid-range revs, ideal for adventure riding.
