Ather Rizta: Ather Energy, a leading electric two wheeler manufacturer in India is gearing up to launch the Rizta on April 6. The manufacturer had opened the bookings for the e-scooter and interested customers can already pre-book the scooter by paying a token amount of Rs 999. Ahead of the scheduled launch, images of the Ather Rizta have surfaced online, revealing significant details.

Ather Rizta - Design 

Talking about the design of the Ather Rizta, it targets a different consumer base looking for a family-friendly scooter when compared to the sporty and compact 450 series aimed at young riders seeking a thrilling experience, the Rizta targets a different consumer base looking for a family-friendly scooter. Notably, the Rizta appears larger than the 450 scooters boasting the largest seat in its segment with ample room for the rider's feet. However, taller riders might feel a bit cramped due to the increased floor height to fit in the battery pack. 

Ather Rizta - Hardware 

The scooter sports 12-inch wheels with a telescopic front and monoshock rear suspension setup, indicating a different chassis to address previous space and packaging constraints. The Rizta will be a departure from Ather's previous 450 series, as it's built on an entirely new platform due to space limitations preventing the use of the 450's platform. 

Ather Rizta - Features 

Talking about the features, the Ather Rizta will come with a spacious under-seat storage area, ABS or CBS, and the latest AtherStack iteration featuring Google Maps, Bluetooth connectivity, and Over-The-Air updates. The Rizta is expected to feature a large digital display, possibly the TFT screen from the 450X, although lower variants might opt for a simpler LCD unit akin to the Ather 450S.  Ather is likely to introduce several segment-first features with the Rizta, although detailed information is yet to be revealed.

Ather Rizta - Price & Powertrain 

Notably, it features a disc brake at the front and a rear drum, suggesting a potentially more affordable pricing strategy compared to the 450 series. While it shares the same battery pack as the 450, the Rizta's powertrain options and propulsion setup remain undisclosed until the official reveal.
