BYD Cars Price Hike: The Reason

The ongoing Middle East crisis has resulted in the disruption of operations at the Strait of Hormuz. The disruption has led to uncertainty in global markets, and prices of raw materials such as aluminium and petrol coke have skyrocketed ever since the conflict began. The petroleum coke is a key element of electric vehicle batteries, and due to disruption in supply and increasing prices the input costs have spiked for EV manufacturers, including BYD.
