Delhi EV Policy 2.0: The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, announced yesterday that a new EV policy will be implemented in the state next year. The existing EV policy was introduced in August 2020 for a three-year term, and it has already been extended several times. As per media reports, the existing policy has failed to boost EV sales, and the government is planning on implementing a new scheme from the next fiscal year.
Delhi EV Policy 2.0: EVs To Become More Affordable
The chief minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, posted about the new EV policy on the social media platform X. As per media reports, to boost sales of EVs in the national capital, the government is expected to provide a subsidy of up to 50 per cent. The X post also mentions that the government will provide additional discounts and a scrappage bonus to make EVs more affordable.

Delhi EV Policy 2.0: Charging Infrastructure
The chief minister of the national capital also mentioned the enhancement of the charging network in the national capital. The X post shared by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlights that the public charging infrastructure will be made better by adding a new battery swapping system. The post also mentions that the colonies and public places will be equipped with new charging infrastructure.
