Kia Syros EV Launch Date: Kia, the South Korean car manufacturer, has recently shared a new teaser for its upcoming electric car. Notably, the brand shared another teaser a few days back, where it teased its upcoming BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) and HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle). We expect the BEV to be the Kia Syros EV, whereas the HEV is expected to be the brand’s globally popular Kia Sorento Hybrid 7-Seater SUV. Let’s take a look at the teaser, along with the expected design, features, range, and specs of the upcoming Kia Syros EV.
Kia Syros EV Teased
- New teaser shared by the brand features graphics
- The first set of graphics shows a flag and a battery
- The second set of graphics shows a Kia Syros-like design
As mentioned earlier, the brand has shared a new teaser for its upcoming Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). The clip shared by the brand starts with a graphic of a flag at one end and a battery on the other. Below the flag and battery graphics, a loading bar can be seen, and below it is the caption ‘You’re closer than you think.’ The next set of graphics shows a family on the left end and a car on the right. One might think that this is a normal teaser, and it could mean any battery electric vehicle by the brand. But, look closely, and you will realise that the graphic of the car in the second set of graphics is nothing else but Kia Syros. Thus, we think that the Kia Syros EV will be launched soon in the country.

Kia Syros EV: Design
- The Kia Syros EV is expected to get the same design as its ICE counterpart
- Bits such as a closed grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, are expected to differentiate the Syros EV from its ICE variant
- A green calliper was spied on one of the mules, which the brand usually offers with its performance models
The mule was heavily disguised during the testing, but it hints at the same boxy contour as the ICE counterpart. LED Taillights, Alloy wheels, and taillights were partially exposed during the testing, and these elements relate to the mule and the Syros. The radar unit, parking sensors, and outside rear-view mirrors were also partially covered. The green brake callipers on the wheels were also visible, and Kia usually offers such callipers with its performance EVs, such as the EV9 GT, globally.
