Kia Syros EV: Kia, the South Korean car manufacturer, recently teased its upcoming Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) for the Indian market. The teaser was shared across the official social media channels of the brand. The brand has not yet confirmed its upcoming car models. However, the recent spy shots and the brand’s product portfolio suggest that it might launch a fully electric and a hybrid electric car in the Indian market in the near future.
Kia Upcoming Car: Electric And Hybrid Vehicles
As mentioned earlier, one of the models will be a fully electric car model, whereas the other one will be a hybrid vehicle. The teaser shared by the brand alternates between BEV and HEV, and the post was shared with a caption that read ‘The future is knocking. One clue. More than one possibility.’ Notably, the prototypes of the Kia Syros EV and the Kia Sorento Hybrid SUV have been spied on several occasions on the Indian roads. Thus, we believe that the brand will likely launch the Syros EV and Sorento hybrid SUV in the Indian market soon.
Kia Syros EV: What To Expect?
Kia Syros was introduced in India in 2024, and now, the brand is expected to launch its electric iteration soon in the Indian market. The Kia Syros EV will have a similar silhouette to its ICE counterpart, and the only changes are expected to be a closed grille, aero-optimized wheels, and a flat floorboard. One of the prototypes was spotted with a green caliper, which the brand usually offers with its performance EVs.
In terms of features, the Syros EV will likely come packed with a dual-screen setup with 12.3-inch displays, electrically powered seats in the second row with ventilation, a panoramic sunroof, reclining second-row seats, a Level 2 ADAS suite, and a 360-degree camera. In terms of powertrain, we expect it to be powered by the same platform as the Hyundai Inster EV, and the battery options will likely include a 42 kWh and a 49 kWh battery pack. The claimed range is expected to be more than 350 kilometres on a single charge.

Kia Sorento Hybrid SUV
The Kia Sorento is already a well-acclaimed model in the International market, and now, the brand is expected to launch it in the Indian market with a hybrid powertrain. The Kia Sorento features a boxy silhouette, and it gets an all-LED lighting setup with the brand’s modern design bits such as a blacked-out tiger nose grille, vertically placed headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, a roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, and C-shaped taillights that extend all the way to the sides.
In terms of features, the Kia Sorento comes equipped with a slew of advanced features, such as a dual-screen setup with 12-inch screens, a four-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, a touch-based HVAC panel, auto-dimming IRVM, steel pedals, a panoramic sunroof, and more. In terms of powertrain, the brand has not yet disclosed any details about the upcoming Sorento hybrid SUV. However, the international model comes equipped with many engines and transmission options, and we expect it to come equipped with a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol hybrid engine in the Indian market.
