Maruti Suzuki Celerio Safety:  The Maruti Suzuki Celerio has scored a 3-star safety rating in a crash test organised by the Global NCAP (GNCAP). The Celerio was introduced in India in 2014, and it has remained one of the most popular hatchbacks in the country ever since. The Maruti Suzuki Celerio secured a 3-star safety rating from GNCAP in terms of Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), whereas it has secured a 2-star safety rating in terms of Child Occupant Protection (COP). The popular hatchback from Maruti Suzuki scored 18.04 points out of a total of 34 points for the AOP, while it has secured 18.57 points out of a total of 49 in the COP.

Maruti Suzuki Celerio: Specs

The Maruti Suzuki Celerio comes equipped with a 3-cylinder 998cc K10C engine, which generates 66 hp and 89 Nm of torque. The engine is also available in a CNG fuel type, and it can be paired either with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AGS (Auto Gear Shift) transmission. It is worth mentioning that the CNG trims of the hatchback are only available with a manual transmission. The Celerio also gets features such as a 7-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, and ESP (Electronic Stability Program).
