Kia Carens Clavis CNG:  Kia, the South Korean car manufacturer, has launched the CNG iterations of its popular MPVs, the Kia Carens and Kia Carens Clavis, in the Indian market. While the prices for the Kia Carens CNG start from Rs 12.11 lakh ex-showroom, the Kia Carens Clavis CNG is priced from Rs 12.38 lakh ex-showroom onwards. Kia Carens CNG & Carens Clavis CNG: Pricing

The Kia Carens CNG will be offered in a single variant, which is priced at Rs 12.11 lakh ex-showroom. The Carens Clavis CNG, on the other hand, will be offered in a total of 2 variants priced at Rs 12.38 lakh and Rs 13.34 lakh, all prices ex-showroom.

Kia Carens CNG & Carens Clavis CNG: Features

As anticipated, the Kia Carens and Carens Clavis CNG will be offered with a Distance to Empty (DTE) logic integrated within the instrument cluster. The brand is offering the Carens and Carens Clavis CNG with a factory-fitted 60-litre tank that can contain up to 9 Kg of usable CNG. Both of these MPVs also feature a CNG fuel change switch, a bigger 16-inch disc brake at the front, and a modified third-row seat.

Kia Carens CNG & Carens Clavis CNG: Powertrain

Both of these MPVs are powered by a Smartstream G1.5 engine, paired with a 6MT transmission, delivering 96 PS of power and 123 Nm of torque in CNG mode. The same engine powers the standard version of the MPVs, where it generates peak power and torque output of 113 hp and 144 Nm, respectively. The CNG trim generates 18 hp and 21 Nm less torque than the petrol version of the MPVs.
