Tata Aeris Vs Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Engine

The Tata Aeris is powered by a 1.2-litre Naturally Aspirated 3-cylinder engine. The same engine also powers the CNG version of the compact sedan. The engine can be paired with either a 5-speed Manual Transmission or a 5-speed AMT transmission. In petrol mode, the engine generates 86 hp and 113 Nm of torque, whereas it generates peak power and torque output of 76 hp and 97 Nm, respectively, in CNG mode.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire also draws power from a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine, too. The Z-series engine can be paired with a 5-speed MT or 5-speed automatic transmission, similar to the Tata Aeris. In petrol mode, the engine generates 82 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. In CNG mode, the same engine can generate 69 bhp and 101 Nm of torque.
