Tata Harrier Petrol:  The Tata Safari and Harrier petrol secured a 5-star safety rating from the Bharat NCAP (BNCAP) recently. The Safari and Harrier by Tata were exclusively available with the diesel engine previously, and the brand is all set to soon reveal the pricing of the petrol variants of its popular SUVs. Let’s take a look at the crash test performance of the Tata Safari and Harrier petrol.

Tata Harrier & Safari Crash Results Explained

The Tata Harrier and Safari petrol have similar structural safety and restraints as their diesel models. Both of these SUVs were tested in 2023 by the Bharat NCAP, and they scored 30.08 points out of a total of 32 points for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). Both of these SUVs boast a score of 44.54 points out of a total of 49 points in terms of Child Occupant Protection (COP).

Tata Harrier & Safari: The Hyperion Engine

The Tata Safari and Harrier petrol come equipped with options of a 1.5-litre Revotron Naturally-aspirated petrol engine and the new 1.5-litre Hyperion petrol engine. The newly launched Tata Sierra comes with a choice of the same engine options, and the 1.5-litre Hyperion engine recently set the record for maximum fuel efficiency achieved in 12 hours.
