Yuvraj Singh Car Gift: Former Indian cricketer and star batsman Yuvraj Singh recently opened up about how he got a BMW M5 from Lalit Modi, after hitting 6 sixes. During a recent podcast with English cricketer Michael Vaughan, Yuvraj shared the anecdote about six sixes, Lalit Modi, and his BMW M5.
‘Was Promised A Porsche 911’
Yuvraj Singh shared that he has kept hearing this story on social media. Lalit Modi offered a Porsche 911 to anyone who could hit six sixes in a match. As we are aware, Yuvraj Singh hit 6 sixes off Stuart Broad in Durban. Then he called Lalit and asked where his gift was. Lalit told him he would soon get the gift. But Yuvraj wanted something else.

‘Asked For A Ferrari’
Yuvraj Singh further shared that after he hit six sixes and he was waiting for his gift, a car, from Lalit Modi, he asked for a Ferrari. Yuvraj asked Lalit, ‘What if I could win India the next game? Can I get a Ferrari then?’ Lalit said no, and Yuvraj will get a Porsche 911, as promised. Later, when Yuvraj was offered a Porsche, he traded it for a BMW M5.

Yuvraj Singh’s BMW M5
Yuvraj Singh very smartly picked a 2007 BMW M5, and he received it in India. Yuvraj called Lalit ‘a man of his word.’ The M5 2007 was powered by a 5.0-litre V10 engine, which was paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The engine was capable of generating a peak power and torque output of 500 hp and 520 Nm, respectively. The BMW M5 2007 could sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, and it has a top-speed of 250 km/h.
