Hyundai Bayon India: The prototypes of the Hyundai Bayon have been spied on several occasions in the country. The Hyundai Bayon-based SUV will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and more such crossover SUVs in the country. The brand is expected to launch the Bayon-based SUV in the Indian market by the end of this year. Now, fresh details regarding the powertrain of the Hyundai Bayon-based SUV have emerged. Hyundai Bayon: Expected Engine Specs
As per a report by Autocar, the upcoming Hyundai Bayon-based SUV will also be offered with the option of a CNG powertrain. The Bayon-based SUV is expected to be powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as the Creta. The CNG-powered version of the Bayon-based SUV is expected to utilise the same engine, and it is expected to feature an underbody CNG tank. According to reports, the Bayon is expected to become the first-ever Hyundai model longer than 4 metres to feature a CNG powertrain. The Bayon will likely include a manual and CVT transmission for the petrol version, whereas the CNG-powered version will likely be offered with a manual and an automatic gearbox.

2026 Hyundai Bayon: Expected Design
The 2026 Hyundai Bayon features a boxy contour and a flat roofline. The front fascia is more upright, and it features LED DRLs, rectangular headlamps, and a redesigned grille with horizontal slats. On the sides, it gets thick black body cladding, squared wheel arches, dual-tone ORVMs with integrated turn signals, conventional door handles, and new alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets a shark fin antenna, a connected light bar with LED taillights, reflectors on the bumper, a wiper, and a raked windshield.

2026 Hyundai Bayon: Expected Features
The 2026 Hyundai Bayon will be the second-generation model of the SUV. Inside the cabin, it has seats with fabric upholstery, an automatic climate control system, a sunroof, ventilated and heated front seats, circular door handles, rear AC vents, an auto-dimming IRVM, and a host of ADAS features. We expect the Bayon to feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a fully digital driver’s display and more.
