Bihar Accident: Over 6 Vehicles Collide On Darbhanga-Muzaffarpur Highway Amidst Dense Fog, Several Injured

6 vehicles collided on the Darbhanga-Muzaffarpur highway in the Benibad police station area of Muzaffarpur due to dense fog. In the accident, 3 vehicles, including an ambulance, were damaged and several people were injured.

In a tragic incident, over six vehicles collided on the Darbhanga-Muzaffarpur highway in the Benibad police station area amidst fog. Three vehicles, including an ambulance, were damaged in the collision. Residents arrived after hearing the loud crash, and a crowd gathered at the scene. 

With the help of local people, the injured were removed from the damaged vehicles and taken to Gaighat PHC for treatment. After receiving first aid, they were all referred to SKMCH. The condition of three people is reported to be serious. The patient who was in the ambulance was transferred to another vehicle and sent to the hospital.

A crowd of people remained on the highway following the incident. The road was blocked by the damaged vehicles. Upon receiving information, local police arrived at the scene and began an investigation.

Acting Station House Officer (SHO) Sapna Kumari initiated the process of removing the damaged vehicles from the highway. She began gathering information about the incident from residents. 

The SHO stated that information had been received about three vehicles colliding and that three damaged vehicles were found at the scene. Residents reported that other vehicles with minor damage had already left the scene. The accident was caused by fog. Initial information suggests that a Ford vehicle first collided with the ambulance.

The acting SHO stated that the identities of the injured are being verified. She added that the administrations of the PHC and SKMCH are being contacted regarding the injured individuals. No fatalities have been reported. 

The Official reported that the damaged vehicles have been removed from the highway and the crowd has been brought under control. Traffic on the highway has now resumed. Vehicle movement had been halted for a few hours.
