Police have intensified their investigation following the detection of fraud in the constable driver recruitment exam. Rigorous interrogation of the accused has brought new details to light, leading to further police action.

Arrests And Financial Angle

City ASP One, Suresh Kumar, stated that three individuals—an impersonator, a middleman, and the original candidate—were arrested in connection with the case. The accused are residents of Patna, Arwal and Jehanabad.

Payment Structure: Investigations revealed that a deal had been struck for a large sum of money to arrange for someone to sit the exam. However, the accused had so far only received a small amount to cover expenses. The remaining substantial payment was to be made after the declaration of results.

Evidence: The mobile phones of all involved parties are being examined to trace further connections.

Broader Network And Future Action

The police highlighted that large rackets guaranteeing success in competitive exams are currently active. These groups have established connections with coaching center operators in several cities, including Patna and Ranchi.

ASP Kumar confirmed that instructions have been issued to identify other accused individuals connected to this racket, and strict action will be taken against them.

Previous Incidents And Electronic Cheating

The recent arrests follow a string of similar crackdowns in the district:

Zila School Incident (Wednesday): Prior to the recent arrests, more than a dozen accused had already been caught at the Zila School centre and various other centers in the district.

The "Ear-Mic" Case: In a previous incident at the Zila School centre in Mithanpura, a candidate from Patna was caught cheating using sophisticated methods. He had hidden a mobile phone inside his clothes and placed a small microphone in his ear.
