Travelers planning to return home or visit relatives at the start of the New Year faced a significant setback. The regular SpiceJet flight from Delhi to Darbhanga was cancelled for the second consecutive day, leaving hundreds of passengers distressed at the airport. Amidst the New Year celebrations, the cancellation forced passengers to postpone their journeys and caused considerable inconvenience.
Flight Schedules And Cancellations
The SpiceJet flight operating between Delhi and Darbhanga remained off the schedule for the second straight day. However, the airline had informed passengers about the cancellation in advance.
Meanwhile, the daily IndiGo flight on the Delhi-Kolkata route was also removed from the schedule. Consequently, there were no passengers traveling between Kolkata and Darbhanga. In total, 10 flights operated to and from Darbhanga Airport on Thursday.
Thursday’s Flight Operations
According to reports, Akasa Air flight QP 1405 from Delhi arrived at 12:05 pm, delayed by one hour and 15 minutes from its scheduled time of 10:50 am. Conversely, SpiceJet flight SG 334 from Mumbai arrived 17 minutes ahead of its scheduled 12:00 pm arrival.
Additionally, Akasa Air flight QP 1529 from Mumbai arrived nine minutes early against its 1:20 PM schedule. IndiGo flight 6E 537 from Hyderabad arrived three minutes early against its 2:05 PM schedule, and IndiGo flight 6E 360 from Delhi arrived nine minutes early against its 3:10 pm schedule.
Wednesday’s Operations
Prior to this, a SpiceJet flight from Delhi was also cancelled on Wednesday. The airline had informed passengers in advance regarding the cancellation, which prevented chaos at the airport.
On Wednesday, a total of 12 flights operated from Darbhanga Airport. Reports indicate that Akasa Air flight QP 1405 from Delhi arrived eight minutes early against its 10:50 am schedule, while SpiceJet flight SG 334 from Mumbai arrived at 12:19 pm, delayed by 19 minutes from its scheduled time of 12:00 pm.
