Dense fog and poor visibility wreaked havoc on the Bakhtiyarpur–Mokama four-lane highway on Saturday morning, leading to a severe collision involving three heavy vehicles. The accident left three people seriously injured and caused significant traffic disruption.

Details Of The Collision

The crash involved one large container truck and two Hyva trucks. According to reports, the impact was so severe that all vehicles were badly mangled.

Cargo: The two Hyva trucks were transporting NTPC dust, while the container truck was loaded with cattle.

Cause: Preliminary investigations suggest that the drivers were unable to see the road clearly due to dense fog. High speed is also being investigated as a contributing factor.

Casualties and Medical Status Three individuals sustained serious injuries in the crash:

- Siku Kumar (Container Driver): Sustained critical injuries. After receiving first aid, he was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for advanced treatment.

- Mohammad Mehrab (Hyva Driver) and Mohammad Afsar (Co-driver): Both were admitted to a local hospital where their condition is reported to be stable.
