Patna Airport News: Dense fog and low visibility forced the cancellation of two flights and rescheduling of a major IndiGo flight from Patna's Jayprakash Narayan International Airport on Monday. Passengers faced significant inconvenience as the weather disrupted air operations.
According to airport sources quoted by jagran.com, due to poor visibility in the morning, the decision was made to cancel two flights for safety reasons. The cancelled flights included one arrival and one departure. The sudden news of the cancellations sent passengers into a panic, with people flocking to airline counters seeking information.

Indigo’s 11 am flight from Patna has been delayed due to low visibility. This flight will now depart at 2 pm. The airline has promised to inform passengers through mobile messages and calls, however, many passengers say they did not receive clear information in time.
Flight cancellations and delays caused the most inconvenience to passengers travelling to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and other cities. Some passengers reported difficulty arranging alternate flights, while many others had to undergo ticket refunds and rescheduling procedures.
The airport administration stated that during the winter season, fog often reduces visibility in the morning, disrupting flight operations. Flights are cancelled or delayed only with passenger safety as a priority. The administration has urged passengers to check their flight status with the relevant airline before arriving at the airport.
Meanwhile, Indigo Airlines has stated that flight operations will resume as soon as weather conditions improve, and that every possible assistance is being provided to passengers. Currently, with clear weather, flights are expected to return to normal in the afternoon, but fog continues to impact morning flights.
