A specific crackdown on biker gangs and stunt riders is in force from Wednesday evening until 6:00 pm on Thursday (New Year's Day) to maintain peace and security for residents and visitors.

Security Cordons And Traffic Management

To facilitate the safe movement of families and citizens, a tight security cordon extends from major city locations to the river ghats.

Targeted Enforcement: Strict action is being taken against stunt riders to ensure road safety.

Barricades And Deployment: Barricades have been erected on Atal Path and JP Ganga Path. Magistrates, police officials, and a heavy deployment of personnel are stationed at these key points.

Surveillance: 24-hour surveillance is active using over 3,300 CCTV cameras across the city.

Parking: Designated parking spaces have been arranged at major venues to prevent congestion.

River Safety And Accident Prevention

Special arrangements are in place to prevent boat and road accidents.

Boat Ban: A complete ban on the operation of private boats and motorboats in the Ganga and other rivers is in effect until 6:00 pm on Thursday.

Patrols: Foot patrols have been intensified on the Ganga ghats. Teams from the NDRF and SDRF are conducting river patrols and have been instructed to take strict action against violators.
