BCCL Share Price: The shares of Bharat Coking Coal made a solid debut at the stock exchanges, listing at a premium of 96 per cent against the IPO price. The BCCL shares started trading at 45 on NSE, up 96 per cent, while at BSE it opened at 45.21 against Rs 23, the upper limit of Coal India's arm IPO price band.
The BCCL shares listing surpassed the grey market 55 to 62 per cent premium expectations by a huge margin.
Earlier, the Bharat Coking Coal IPO listing date was on s January 16, and the same was postponed to Monday, January 19, as the share distribution to the successful bidders could not be completed due to the stock market observing a holiday on January 15 for Maharashtra's municipal corporation election.
The Rs 1,071.11 crore IPO of a public sector firm, which happened to be the first main board initial offering of 2026, got an overwhelming response from the investors.
The IPO was subscribed 146.87 times, getting bids for 50,95,55,58,000 shares against 7,91,69,000 total shares offered.
The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) category: 310.81 times
Non-Institutional Investors: 258.16 times
Retail investors' quota: 49.83 times.
Employees and shareholders' quota: 5.18 times and 87.29 times, respectively.
The IPO was opened for subscription between January 9 and January 13. The share allotment was finalised on January 14, and subsequently, the listing was done today.
