Budget 2026 Industry Reactions Live Update: Union Budget To Boost India's Growth Trajectory: Industry Leaders

“Union Budget 2026–27 reflects a clear transition from expansion-driven growth to quality-led urban development," said E Lakahminarayana Reddy, Founder and CEO of EARA Group. 

According to him, the emphasis on infrastructure creation, asset monetisation, and regional economic strengthening will steadily unlock new real estate corridors and deepen investor confidence.

"While the budget does not push immediate demand-side incentives, it creates a stable and forward-looking framework for sustainable development. The growing policy focus on efficient cities, cleaner infrastructure, and long-term capital formation aligns well with the evolving luxury segment, where buyers increasingly value sustainability, wellness, and future-ready living over mere scale. For responsible developers, this budget sets the foundation for resilient and high-quality growth," said Reddy. 

"Budget 2026 signals a strong leap towards a Viskit Bharat with a timely push toward strengthening India’s credit ecosystem, particularly for small businesses and individual taxpayers," said Santosh Agarwal, CEO of Paisabazaar.

According to Santosh, the Government has continued its focus on widening access to credit and creating a robust financial system.

"India’s small businesses have traditionally faced challenges in accessing formal credit; the proposed Rs 10,000 crore SME Growth Fund can be a significant step toward energising the growth of the key sector. Additionally, the proposed Rs 2,000 crore top-up to the Self-Reliant India Fund improves the supply of capital for micro and small enterprises," Agarwal noted. 

Together, these two initiatives can improve the pipeline of credit-ready businesses and deepen the formal lending ecosystem, she added. 

"Also, with a larger push towards infrastructure development at scale, the government clearly aims to provide fresh impetus to employment generation across sectors. Special domestic provisions such as ODOP (One District One Product) and policies encouraging multinational companies to establish global data centres in India underscore the government’s proactive approach to changing economic and technological landscapes," Paisabazaar's CEO said further. 

“This Budget sends a clear signal that India’s growth story will be powered by digital-first businesses, MSMEs, and export-led consumption. Continued focus on infrastructure, ease of doing business, and technology adoption creates strong tailwinds for e-commerce and D2C brands, especially those looking to scale globally," said Subarna Mukherjee, Founder & Global CEO, Shop Culture. 

According to Mukherjee, importantly, initiatives like SHE Mart reinforce the government’s intent to accelerate women-led entrepreneurship by improving market access and visibility. 

Meanwhile,  Harshal Dilwali, Director & CEO, Clarissa Group, said the Union Budget’s strong emphasis on tourism as a driver of employment, local economic growth, and forex earnings is a timely and welcome move for India’s hospitality ecosystem.

Initiatives such as the proposed National Institute of Hospitality, large-scale upskilling of tourist guides, and the creation of a National Destination Digital Knowledge Grid signal a clear intent to professionalise and future-proof the sector, Dilwali noted. 

At the same time,  Puneet Gulati, Founder & Promoter of Go-5 Incorporation, believes that India’s latest budget sends a strong, confidence-building signal for the consumer technology ecosystem.

The continued focus on digital infrastructure, manufacturing incentives, skilling, and ease of doing business creates a fertile environment for homegrown brands to scale responsibly, Gulati noted. 

"The Union Budget 2026–27 reflects a steady and practical approach to strengthening India’s healthcare ecosystem, with a clear emphasis on digital infrastructure, capacity building, and global competitiveness," said Nadeem Ahmed, Founder & CEO, Healthus.ai (Healthcare Growth Strategist).

According to him, the proposal to develop five regional medical tourism hubs will help position India as a trusted destination for integrated care, combining modern treatment, diagnostics, and wellness services.

"Continued focus on technology-led solutions, data-driven delivery, and public-private collaboration can play a critical role in improving access, efficiency, and patient outcomes," Ahmed noted. 

As healthcare adoption becomes increasingly digital, the budget’s direction reinforces the need for the responsible use of AI to enable sustainable growth while ensuring trust, compliance, and patient-centricity, he said further. 

"This year’s Union Budget reinforces India’s commitment to building future-ready talent through stronger investment in research, emerging technologies, and industry-linked education," said Siddharth Iyer, COO, One Step Global.  

According to him, the emphasis on innovation and access signals a clear recognition that global competitiveness depends on both capability and opportunity at scale.

"As learning becomes more specialised and globally connected, international exposure is an increasingly important extension of education. Cross-border academic engagement gives students access to new research ecosystems, professional networks, and career pathways," Iyer noted.  

Meanwhile, Sripal Jain, CA/US CPA, Co-founder, Simandhar Education, said, the Union Budget 2026 sends a strong signal that professional, career-focused education is central to India’s workforce strategy.

"By enabling institutions such as ICAI and ICSI to design short-term modular programmes aligned with employability, the government is reinforcing the importance of practical skills and industry readiness. This shift comes at a critical moment," Jain stated. 

As India’s services economy expands and advanced technologies such as AI reshape financial operations, the demand for highly trained finance and accounting professionals is accelerating, he said further. 

"Dharav High School welcomes the Union Education Budget as a progressive step toward building an inclusive, skill-oriented, and future-ready education system," said Aditi Misra, Director, Dharav High School, Gurugram. 

According to Misra, the focus on girls’ hostels will improve safety, access, and retention for female students, while initiatives in skilling, digital education, and teacher training reflect a clear vision for preparing students for a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world.

"We also emphasise the importance of increased investment in school infrastructure, laboratories, and smart classrooms to ensure that these policy measures translate into meaningful learning outcomes," said Aditi Misra. 

Meanwhile, Pravesh Dudani, Founder & Chancellor, MSU, said that the Union Budget 2026 makes it clear that skilling and skilled professionals sit at the core of the government’s Sankalp and Kartavya.

"Whether it is healthcare, creative industries, hospitality, MSMEs, or emerging sectors such as inland waterways and biopharma, the Budget recognises that infrastructure alone cannot deliver inclusive growth- people with employable skills do," said Dudani. 

"What is particularly encouraging is the clear shift from building campuses to building outcomes," Dudani said further. 

"Budget 2026 is a welcome move for the travel and tourism sector. By strategically mapping city economic regions around their inherent growth drivers and strengthening connectivity, India will be able to unlock the travel potential of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities," said Govind Gaur, CEO, WanderOn.

According to him, specifically, by announcing the 7 high-speed railway corridors as 'Growth connectors', the travel time is expected to be reduced significantly, and rail travel will gain a boost.

This will significantly lead to an experiential travel boost within the domestic sector, Gaur added. 

Meanwhile, Dr. Vikas Katoch, Founder and CEO of Adotrip, said Budget 2020’s focus on Purvodaya states is a much-needed recognition for the Northeast’s immense potential in tourism.

"The development of five new tourism destinations, with a push for Buddhist circuits across Assam, Manipur and Tripura, can reposition the region as a key cultural and spiritual travel hub. This will not only boost tourism in the North-East, but create a channel for a circular economy where the consumer money is spent within the country, leading to improved GDP," Katoch added. 

The proposal towards medical tourism by creating five regional hubs will help improve India’s position in global tourism, he said further. 

 “Ahead of the Union Budget 2026, the real estate sector was expecting a mix of demand-side stimulus, tax incentives and execution-friendly reforms. While some expectations remain unaddressed, the Budget’s strong emphasis on infrastructure-led growth, a reforms-over-rhetoric approach, and sustained focus on Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities provides a solid foundation for long-term sector stability," said Manish Agarwal, Managing Director, Satya Group, President, CREDAI Haryana. 

The industry continues to seek sharper support for affordable housing through rationalised transaction costs and easier access to finance to sustain mass demand, Agarwal added.  

Meanwhile, Amar Sarin- MD & CEO, TARC Limited, said that the Union Budget’s proposal to introduce an Infrastructure Risk Guarantee Fund is a significant structural step that can ease access to capital, improve credit flow, and address financing bottlenecks for large-scale housing and infrastructure developments.

The government’s intent to crowd in private investment, rather than rely solely on public expenditure, sends a strong and positive signal to the real estate sector, Sarin noted.  

Abhay Kumar Mishra, CEO & President, Jindal Realty, said, "The Union Budget 2026 sends a strong long-term signal for India’s real estate and infrastructure ecosystem, with a clear focus on Tier-II cities such as Sonipat, which benefit from strategic proximity to the national capital(turning out as a new economic hub), alongside Tier-III markets."

"This year’s Union Budget sends a strong signal of confidence in India’s economic momentum by reinforcing consumer purchasing power and long-term demand creation," said Madhav Mani, CEO – Usha International. 

According to Mani, its emphasis on stable taxation, continued support for disposable incomes, and sustained public capital expenditure provides long-term visibility and confidence for manufacturers to invest in capacity, technology, and distribution – creating a positive environment for discretionary consumption.

"For the consumer durables sector, where buying decisions are closely linked to household confidence and accessibility, the ongoing support to the rural sector, improved infrastructure, formal credit expansion through digital channels, and a predictable GST framework are expected to unlock upgrade demand, particularly across Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets," Usha International CEO noted.  

Importantly, the renewed push towards localisation, electronics and component manufacturing, and domestic value addition will be critical in strengthening supply-chain resilience and improving cost competitiveness for Indian brands, he said further. 

"Budget 2026 takes a structured approach to strengthening MSMEs by addressing three persistent gaps - equity, liquidity, and capability," said Gaurav Sachdeva, Joint Managing Director and CEO, JSW One Platforms Limited. 

According to him, measures such as the SME Growth Fund, stronger invoice-based financing through TReDS, and professional support via Corporate Mitras are aimed at improving cash-flow predictability and execution capacity, particularly beyond the metros.

“The 2026 Budget shows commendable attention to gender equity, educational infrastructure, and skill-connected learning. The vision for girls’ hostels, innovation labs, and applied skilling is welcome," said Dinesh Gupta, Founder of Vikalp Online School. 

However, for deep-level transformation in school-level pedagogy and experiential learning, the budget could have been more targeted,  Gupta added. 

Meanwhile, Ayush Kumar, Managing Director, New Delhi Institute of Management (NDIM), said the Union Budget sends a positive signal by reinforcing the importance of education and skill development in India’s growth agenda.

"The emphasis on industry-aligned learning, digital infrastructure, and capacity building is a step in the right direction. However, the real impact will depend on how effectively these measures translate into classroom outcomes and employability," Kumar noted. 

At the same time, Seema Bansal, Co-founder & Executive Director at DCGpac, said that the Union Budget 2026 reflects a welcome shift toward enabling women entrepreneurs through structured support and ecosystem-led growth.

"Initiatives such as Self-Help Entrepreneur Marts and improved credit access can create meaningful pathways for women-led MSMEs to scale with confidence. What will truly accelerate impact is combining this support with technology enablement, especially AI-driven tools for planning, inventory, and financial visibility," Bansal highlighted. 

“The Union Budget 2026–27 reinforces the government’s long-term commitment to infrastructure-led economic growth," said Aman Moudgil, Director, Gilco Global. 

According to him, the increase in public capital expenditure to Rs 12.2 lakh crore sends a strong signal of continuity and execution focus, especially for sectors dependent on sustained investment cycles.

"This level of spending has a cascading impact across urban infrastructure, real estate, transportation, healthcare, and industrial development. As India’s cities grow denser and buildings become taller and more complex, infrastructure is no longer limited to roads and bridges alone - building systems that enable safe and efficient movement of people and goods are equally critical to asset performance and user experience," Moudgil noted. 

Encouragingly, the budget also addresses structural challenges by improving project viability through de-risking mechanisms and by strengthening logistics and connectivity networks.

These measures enhance private sector confidence, accelerate on-ground execution, and improve the overall economics of infrastructure projects, he said further.  

Praising the Union Budget 2026, Raymond Andrews, Co-founder, Biryani Blues, said that the budget further emphasizes the government’s commitment to a stronger consumer economy, which is imperative for sectors like food and dining that are demand-driven.

"With the improvement in disposable incomes and the positive sentiment in consumption, the organized restaurant brands are expected to benefit," Adrews added. 

“The announcements made in the Budget mark a clear inflection point in India’s manufacturing and deep-tech journey," said Ankit Kedia, Founder and Lead Investor, Capital-A.

According to him, the expansion of the India Semiconductor Mission into equipment, materials, and full-stack IP reflects an important recognition that semiconductors and advanced manufacturing cannot be built in silos, and that value creation sits across the entire supply chain.

“By coupling this with higher allocations for electronics components, capital goods, and critical inputs such as rare earths, the Budget lays the groundwork for durable industrial growth and stronger capital formation. However, these sectors are defined by long investment cycles and high execution risk," said Kedia

“The Union Budget sends a strong and reassuring message of inclusion and intent. The continued focus on the Lakhpati Didi initiative rightly acknowledges the role of women-led micro and small enterprises in driving grassroots economic growth, particularly across rural and semi-urban India," said Prachi Kaushik, Founder and Director, Vyomini Social Enterprise. 

According to Kaushik, the emphasis on SHE further strengthens access to skilling, credit, and structured entrepreneurial support for women ready to scale their ideas.

"These measures move beyond welfare, building confidence, capability, and financial independence. The institutionalised approach towards mental health is also a timely and much-needed intervention, as mental well-being is emerging as a silent pandemic in India. Additionally, the exemption of cancer drugs from duty reflects a compassionate focus on healthcare affordability," The Founder and Director, Vyomini Social Enterprise, said. 

Initiatives like She Mart can provide valuable market access to women entrepreneurs; however, coupling marketing platforms with stronger financing mechanisms will be crucial to ensure sustainable growth, Prachi Kaushik added. 

“The Union Budget 2026 represents a meaningful step for India’s electronics manufacturing landscape, including the consumer durables sector, particularly through its emphasis on strengthening export competitiveness and improving the operating environment for exporters," said Saket Gaurav, CMD, Elista.  

According to him, measures focused on duty rationalisation and cost efficiencies will help Indian manufacturers remain competitive in global markets while navigating ongoing supply-chain and pricing pressures.

"The launch of India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 with an outlay of Rs 40,000 crore, along with the Rs 10,000 crore Shakti initiative, is a longer-term play that strengthens India’s electronics ecosystem across the value chain. By focusing on equipment, materials, full-stack design, and the development of Indian intellectual property, these initiatives build a strong foundation for future manufacturing growth," Gaurav added. 

What is particularly encouraging is the emphasis on industry-led research, skilling, and training. For manufacturers, this translates into greater confidence to invest in local capacity and long-term capabilities, he said further. 

"The plan to build five University Townships along our major industrial and logistics corridors is a massive leap toward closing the gap between the classroom and the career. It finally acknowledges a simple truth: talent thrives when academia and industry breathe the same air," said Fr. Nelson A. D’Silva, S.J., Acting Director – XLRI Delhi-NCR. 

According to him, these aren't just collections of buildings; they are planned academic zones where multiple universities, research hubs, and skill centers coexist with residential life.

"By clustering these institutions in the same ecosystem, we are creating a living laboratory where learning is shaped by real-world industrial challenges. The use of a 'challenge route' to support States is particularly innovative; it pushes for high-performance hubs rather than just more infrastructure. We aren't just handing out degrees, we are preparing a new generation of leaders to step straight from their campus into the driver’s seat of India's emerging sectors," D’Silva added. 

“In the backdrop of persistent global uncertainty, the budget reflects realism on policy and fiscal prudence," said Harish Krishnan, CIO – Equity, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd.

According to him, the government remains steadfast in its commitment to consolidation; there is a notable shift from supply-side capex-led stimulus towards supporting domestic consumption. However, elevated borrowing levels may cause market discomfort in the near term, but expectations in the budget seem to be conservative and leave room for upside.

"The outlook for equities over the medium term does not alter too much. We believe the current phase represents a reset – investors should reassess portfolios with a fresh lens, as new themes are likely to emerge as winners over the next 3-4 years," Krishnan noted.  

Meanwhile, Kaustubh Gupta, CIO – Fixed Income, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd, the budget is largely an extension of the government's core philosophy of supply-driven growth, boosting manufacturing capacity and macro stability.

"Fiscal discipline, incentive for manufacturing, and simplification of doing business seem to be the key thrust areas. Overall, the budget numbers seem to be conservative,e and there is a possibility of over-achieving targets both for FY26 and FY27. Continued focus on capex while being fiscally prudent also boosts medium to long-term potential growth while keeping inflation in check," Gupta, noted. 

 “The Union Budget 2026 presents a clear and constructive roadmap for strengthening India’s financial architecture, with a balanced emphasis on stability, inclusion, and long-term growth," said Ravi Narayanan, MD & CEO, SMFG India Credit. 

Accordingto him, the government’s decision to constitute a High-Level Committee on Banking for Viksit Bharat is a forward-looking step that recognises the evolving and complementary role of NBFCs in deepening credit penetration and supporting India’s development priorities. 

"Budget 2026 reinforces that stability, predictability and execution clarity are central to sustainable growth in the real estate sector," said Aniruddha Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director, Umiya Buildcon Ltd.

According to Mehta, the continued focus on infrastructure development, streamlined approvals, and policy continuity directly supports faster project execution and improved cash flow visibility for developers.

"With renewed emphasis on affordable housing and infrastructure-led growth, alongside a sharper focus on Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, the sector is set to benefit from more balanced and scalable urban expansion," Mehta noted.

Meanwhile, Group Capt. C.S. Krishnadas, Chief Executive Officer, Umiya Buildcon, said the Union Budget 2026–27 marks a decisive shift from signalling intent to enabling execution in India’s digital and telecom infrastructure journey.

"With overall capital expenditure raised to Rs 12.2 lakh crore, an 8.8 per cent increase year-on-year, the government has reaffirmed infrastructure—both physical and digital—as the foundation for a ‘Viksit Bharat’" Krishnadas noted.

The continued prioritisation of telecom networks, broadband expansion, and data-led infrastructure provides long-term visibility and confidence for the sector, he said further.

"The Union Budget presented a strong and reassuring signal for India’s growth trajectory, with a significant Rs 12.6 lakh crore allocation towards government capital expenditure, reflecting the government’s continued commitment to infrastructure-led development," said Kapil Bardeja, Co-founder and CEO, Vehant Technologies.

According to him, the Rs 10,000 crore SME Growth Fund, together with mandatory TReDS onboarding for CPSEs and the reduction of disputed demand deposits from 20% to 10%, will provide vital support to businesses while making operations easier to conduct.

Meanwhile, 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙟 𝘿𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖, 𝘾𝙤-𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙀𝙊, 𝙐𝙏𝙃𝙊 𝘾𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙙 said that the Union Budget 2026 provides a strong positive indication that will benefit India's cloud and digital infrastructure ecosystem.

"The proposed tax holiday till 2047 for global cloud service providers using Indian data centres will significantly boost investments while strengthening data localisation and establishing India as a worldwide cloud computing hub" said Dhanda. 

Additionally, the government demonstrates its dedication to creating an independent digital economy through the India Semiconductor Mission expansion into ISM 2.0, along with the establishment of the Rs 10,000 crore SME Growth Fund, he added. 

“Union Budget 2026–27 addresses one of the most persistent structural challenges faced by India’s IT sector—transfer pricing uncertainty—with a set of practical, execution-focused reforms," said Chanakya Bellam, Director, AION-tech Solutions. 

According to Bellam, the consolidation of software services, ITES, KPO and contract R&D under a single ‘Information Technology Services’ category brings long-overdue clarity to how modern, integrated tech businesses operate.

The expansion of the safe harbour threshold from Rs 300 crore to Rs 2,000 crore, combined with a uniform margin and a five-year validity option, meaningfully reduces compliance friction and litigation risk for mid-to-large IT firms and global capability centres, Bellam noted.  

Meanwhile, Vikram M. Raichura, Founder and MD at Helo AI, said the Government's proposal to offer a tax holiday till 2047 for foreign cloud service providers operating from India through local data centres is a welcome step.

As per him, this sends a strong signal of long-term policy stability, which is critical for cloud and data centre investments that require large, long-term commitments. 

By encouraging global cloud companies to build and operate from India for their international operations, the policy helps position India as a base for global cloud infrastructure rather than only a consumption market, Raichura added.

According to Tyagi, the proposed Infrastructure Risk Guarantee Fund is a timely intervention that will significantly improve lender confidence and crowd in private capital during the construction and development phase. 

Meanwhile, Vikas Garg, Joint Managing Director, Ganga Realty, said that the sustained rise in capex spending is a clear indication of the government’s long-term vision and commitment to infrastructure-driven growth, which is essential for the real estate industry.

Improved roads, railways, and overall infrastructure have a direct bearing on improving project feasibility and demand, Garg added. 

At the same time, RajniKant Mishra, Founder and Chairman, Amrawati Group, believes that the Union Budget 2026 demonstrates a clear commitment to strengthening India’s real estate and infrastructure backbone.

"The Infrastructure Risk Guarantee Fund will play a crucial role in de-risking projects during the construction phase, encouraging greater private investment. The accelerated use of REITs for monetising CPSE real estate assets will enhance market depth and capital flow,"  Mishra added. 

"The Union Budget 2026–27 reinforces India’s shift towards flexible, services-led, and sustainable economic growth, firmly anchored in a Yuva Shakti–driven vision for the Amrit Kaal. The continued thrust on public capex, REIT-led asset monetisation, and Tier II–III city development will structurally support demand for managed and flexible workspaces, especially from MSMEs, GCCs, and new-age service enterprises," said Sanjay Chatrath, Co-founder and Managing Partner, Incuspaze. 

According to him, this sends a strong signal that flexibility, quality, and scalability will define the next phase of commercial real estate.

Greater tax certainty for the services and IT sector, combined with investments in digital and physical infrastructure, will boost occupier confidence. Enterprises are now better positioned to adopt hub-and-spoke and hybrid office strategies, where flexible workspaces play a critical role in enabling speed, agility, and cost efficiency, Chatrath added.  

"Union Budget 2026–27 prioritises tax certainty and dispute reduction, keeping tax rates unchanged while expanding safe-harbour limits (IT services up to Rs 2,000 crore), extending revised return timelines, and rationalising TDS/TCS—including a reduction to 2 per cent for education and medical remittances, Said CA Azhruddin Khan. 

Support for manufacturing and exports through deferred duty, bonded-zone incentives, and customs rationalisation, alongside public capex of about Rs 12 lakh crore, underscores a clear focus on long-term, investment-led growth, Khan added. 

Meanwhile, Yogesh Bhatia, MD and CEO of LML Realty, Building India's New Industrial Address, said that Union Budget’s strong emphasis on scaling MSMEs through the Rs 10,000 crore MSME Growth Fund and the additional infusion into the Self-Reliant India Fund is a timely and forward-looking move.

"By improving access to equity and long-term capital, these measures will help create globally competitive MSME champions, strengthen industrial infrastructure, and drive sustainable employment-led growth, particularly across emerging manufacturing and industrial hubs," Bhatia added. 

"This budget looks like India is finally treating technology as one connected system: chips, AI, software, cloud, and manufacturing working together instead of separate policies. The Rs 40,000 crore allocation for Semiconductor Mission 2.0 is a strong signal. It strengthens everything from chip design and fabrication to ATMP, R&D, and talent," said Nandagopal P, CEO, Asymmetri; CTO, Gacsym Ventures and Limited Partner, Arya Ventures. 

According to him, that matters because AI computing is becoming a strategic resource. Building more capability at home reduces supply-chain risk, brings down long-term costs, and supports sovereign AI infrastructure, indigenous foundational models, and large-scale data centres under the India AI Mission.

"On the services side, the tax and regulatory clean-up is equally important. Creating a single ‘Information Technology Services’ category, raising the transfer pricing safe harbour threshold from rs 300 crore to rs 2,000 crore, moving to a rule-based automated approval process, and extending validity to five years should significantly improve predictability and reduce compliance friction and disputes," Nandagopal P noted. 

Faster unilateral APAs and extended modified return benefits further strengthen India’s position for IT services, GCC growth, and high-value digital exports, especially at a time when AI is reshaping global delivery models, he added. 

“The Union Budget 2026–27 presents a forward-looking roadmap that balances growth, fiscal discipline, and long-term sustainability. This continued focus on large-scale infrastructure creation and manufacturing-led development sends a strong signal of policy stability and long-term confidence to industry.

According to him, the focus on energy security, modern infrastructure, and environmentally sustainable systems is particularly significant at a time when grid resilience, electrification, and clean mobility are becoming central to national competitiveness.

"Investments in power infrastructure, logistics, urban development, and technology-led governance will help create a more efficient and future-ready ecosystem for industries and utilities alike. Measures aimed at reducing compliance burdens, enhancing ease of doing business, and improving liquidity for enterprises will further enable manufacturers to scale responsibly and innovate with confidence," Medani noted.

According to Deegwal, The Budget also aligns with industry aspirations for deeper AI and digital infrastructure development, as highlighted by expectations around advancing the AI ecosystem, interoperable systems, and robust digital public infrastructure that enable innovation at scale.

Meanwhile, Alok Anibha,Founder-Girikon.AI, said that in the Union Budget 2026–27, the Government of India has highlighted AI and emerging technologies as key enablers of governance, productivity, and economic growth.

"This signals a clear shift toward scalable, enterprise-grade AI adoption, where real value will be driven by solutions that are production-ready, responsible, and aligned with business outcomes," Anibha noted. 

At the same time, Pritesh Tiwari, Founder, Chief Data Scientist, Data Science Wizards, believes that the Union Budget 2026–27’s focus on AI and emerging technologies reflects a growing recognition that data and intelligence are becoming core economic infrastructure.
