Gold-Silver Price Today: After witnessing a decent rally for the past three session's the prices of precious metals--Gold and Silver--fell in the domestic futures market on January 7 amid profit booking. The Bullion price dipped in the international market as well.
The Silver future contract (March 5 expiry) fell over Rs 4,000 in the early trade on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) to a level of Rs 2,54,070 per kilogram against last session's closing of Rs 2,58,811 per kg. Meanwhile, MCX gold (February 5 Expiry) fell nearly a per cent to today's low of Rs 1,38,027.0 per 10 grams as compared to last day's closing of Rs 1,39,083.0.
At around 10:27 am, the MCX gold was trading at Rs 1,38,220 per 10 grams, down Rs 863 or 0.62 per cent. At the same time, the MCX silver was at Rs 2,55,045.o per kg, down Rs 3,766 or 1.46 per cent.
International Gold and Silver Price
The precious metals prices saw a decline in the international market as well. At the time of writing, the Comex Gold was at $4,476 per ounce, down $20.10 or 0.45 per cent. Meanwhile, Comex Silver slipped $1.35 or 1.68 per cent to Rs $79.680.
Gold Rate Today In India
On the line of domestic future and international market, the gold rate today fell in the domestic retail market too. The 24-Karat gold rate today in India is Rs 1,38,720 per 10 grams. The 22-karat gold rate is Rs 1,27,160 per 10 grams, while for the 18-karat, the price is Rs 1,04,040 per 10 grams.
