MCX Gold, Silver Rate: The bullion prices escalated significantly in early trade after a massive dip in the previous session amid value buying. Gold futures, April 2 expiry, rose Rs 3,300 to Rs 1,48,302 per 10 grams in early session as compared to last day closing of Rs 1,44,954 on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Similarly, Silver futures contract, May 5 expiry, jumped nearly Rs 9,000 to Rs 2,40,000 per kilogram in early session as compared to last session closing of Rs 2,31,460 on MCX.
At the time of writing, MCX Gold was trading at 1,47,702, up Rs 2,748 or 1.9 per cent. MCX Silver quoted at Rs 2,37,933, up Rs 6,473 or 2.8 per cent.
"MCX Gold is trading above Rs 1,47,000, stabilising after a mild gap-up opening. On the upside, Rs 1,50,000–₹1,52,000 remains the immediate resistance zone. A breakout above Rs 1,53,000 could accelerate momentum toward Rs 1,56,000–Rs 1,58,000. On the downside, immediate support lies in the Rs 1,36,000–Rs 1,41,000 range. A breakdown could drag prices toward Rs 1,30,000," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
Gold, silver rates in international market
In the international market the gold, silver rates rose amid value buying post last session debacle. At the time of writing, COMEX Gold was trading at $4,719 per ounce, up $113.30 or 2.46 per cent. COMEX Silver quoted at $73.790, up $2.5 or 3.62 per cent.
24k, 22k Gold Rates In India
The yellow metal prices for the different purity level escalated on the line of prise surge in future markets. The 24 karat gold rate today in India is Rs 1,48,340 per 10 grams, while 22 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,35,978 per 10 grams. At the same time, the gold price of 20 karat gold is Rs 1,23,978 per 10 grams and 18 karat gold rate is Rs 1,11,255 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, Silver rate today in domestic retail market is Rs 237,910 per kilogram.
