LPG Price Hike In New Year: New Year's celebrations are underway across the country on January 1 and the first shock has come from the LPG companies as the price of cylinders have been increased.
As per the rules, petroleum companies revise cylinder prices on the first day of every month. This time, the gas agency has only revised the 19-kg cylinder. The price of the 14-kg, or domestic, cylinder remains the same.

19-kg cylinders are mostly used in restaurants, dhabas, and hotels. Gas agencies often make changes to 19-kg cylinders. According to the table above, Chennai has the highest price. The price of a 19-kg cylinder in Chennai has increased from Rs 1,739.50 to Rs 1,849.50, a total increase of ₹110.
Similarly, in Delhi, the price has been increased from ₹1580.50 to ₹1691.5. Similarly, there's a Rs 111 increase in Kolkata and Rs 111 in Mumbai. The increase is roughly equal in almost every city.

The prices of domestic cylinders (14.2 kg) remain unchanged. The city-wise prices of these cylinders are:
Delhi: Rs 853
Kolkata: Rs 879
Mumbai: Rs 852.50
Chennai: Rs 868.50
