India’s second-largest telecom service provider, ‘Bharti Airtel ’, has raised tariffs for its postpaid customers. The tariffs were increased by Rs 50 with a revamped set of plans that bundle one free international roaming trip every year. News agency PTI reported, citing sources, that the new plans will come into effect on October 8, 2026, and all existing postpaid subscribers will be moved to the nearest higher plan within a month.
The free international roaming offer is worth Rs 2,000, according to sources. In effect, the revamped plans mean a Rs 50 hike over current tariffs for postpaid. As per an announcement made in a press release, Airtel said, "The launch of new postpaid plans, with even more benefits built in.
"From October 8, 2026, customers can enjoy one international trip with free roaming every year with these new postpaid plans, along with all existing benefits," the release said.

What Does Airtel’s Roaming Pack Include?
The free roaming pack includes 5GB data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS, which is valid for five days. Customers can activate this pack whenever they want. Every member in the family plan is eligible for free roaming benefits.
Free international roaming is the latest addition to Airtel's postpaid plans, offering a superior experience through fast lane technology, unlimited data, and network-level protection from spam and fraudulent links.
The Airtel Postpaid Advantage Club also allows customers to enjoy various entertainment subscriptions and exclusive experiences, including comedy shows, movie premieres and music concerts, the statement said.
