Shares of Hyderabad-based IT company Blue Cloud Softech Solutions opened and traded in positive territory in the early and mid-hours of trading on Thursday, in the green despite a massive sell-off in the stock market amid broad-based selling. The stock started the session at Rs 20.72, nearly 2 per cent higher from the last closing of Rs 20.32 on the BSE. The IT stock escalated the momentum further to hit a high at Rs 21.14, rising 0.82 or 4.05 per cent from the last closing.
However, the stock erased early gains amid broad-based selling in the stock market. Last seen, Blue Cloud stock was trading at Rs 19.96, down 1.92 per cent or Rs 0.39.
What's behind the rally?
The stock came into effect after the Hyderabad-based company informed exchanges that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Senegalese Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Affairs and the Global Council for Investment and Business for Africa (GCIB) on digital transformation, innovation, digital infrastructure, and strengthening Senegal's national innovation ecosystem.
The partnership aligns with Senegal's New Deal Technologies program, driving key initiatives like the Senegal Digital Factory, Data and AI Factory, AI Scaling Hub, and Startup Ecosystem. It expands on the April 2026 MoU between GCIB and BCSSL.

By fostering local digital talent, entrepreneurship, investment, and tech transfer, the collaboration aims to establish Senegal as a primary innovation and tech hub in West Africa and the Francophone region.

BSE 30 share index nosedived 1,230 points to a low of 71,406.79 as compared to the last close of 72,638.70. Nifty50 plunged over 413 points to a low of 22,190.
At around 2:40 PM, BSE Sensex was trading at 71,587.36, down 1.45 per cent or 1,051.34 points. Nifty50 was quoted at 22,251.90, down 1.55 per cent or 351.15 points.
