The domestic bullion market saw a divergence as gold and silver futures contracts traded contrary to each other. Gold Futures, December 4 expiry, declined over Rs 1,500 to an early low at Rs 1,48,850 per 10 gram as compared to last closing of Rs 1,50,390 on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
On the other hand, Silver futures, December 4 expiry, rose Rs 1,550 to an early high at Rs 2,27,428 per kilogram from last close of Rs 2,25,877 on MCX. Last seen, MCX Silver was trading at Rs 2,27,150, up Rs 1,273 or 0.56 per cent. While, MCX Gold was quoted at Rs 1,49,530, down 860 points or 0.57 per cent.
24k, 22k Gold Rate In India on October 5
Gold prices for all purity levels fell in the retail market as well. According to bullion.co.in, 24 karat gold rate on October 5 is Rs 1,49,300 per 10 grams, while 22 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,36,858 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, 20 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,24,417 per 10 grams and 18 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,11,975 per 10 grams.
