Petrol-Diesel Price Today: The ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran has entered its 22nd day on March 21, with no clear signs of de-escalation since tensions escalated on February 28. The prolonged crisis has imapacted international energy markets and raise concerns over global economic stability.
Amid the geopolitical tensions, global crude oil prices have surged to their highest level in four years. The spike has pushed up fuel costs in several countries, including India.
In India, oil marketing companies have increased the prices of premium petrol and industrial diesel. However, there has been no change in the retail prices of regular petrol and diesel. Oil marketing companies on Friday hiked premium-grade petrol prices by Rs 2.09 to Rs 2.35 per litre. Alongside this, the price of wholesale diesel sold to industrial users has also gone up by around Rs 22 per litre. Despite these increases, retail prices of normal petrol and diesel remain unchanged.
Fuel prices in India are revised daily by oil marketing companies at 6 am, based on fluctuations in global crude oil prices and currency exchange rates.
